Bonjour Tristesse is a novel written in 1954 by the writer Françoise Sagan (1935-2004).

It tells the story of Cécile, a seventeen-year-old girl, and her father, a widower and a man in his forties, but happy, frivolous and seductive as anyone, lover of brief and inconsequential love relationships, they live happy, carefree, dedicated to easy and Pleasant in his beautiful mansion on the French Riviera.
